The PowerScan8300 series combines high-end performance with the usual industry-scanner-robustness of the PowerScan. As the successor to the well-known Dragon with its exceptional ergonomics, the new Datalogic 8300 series presents itself as the flagship model for all Datalogic scanners for logistics and production.
The Datalogic 8300 series renews the hand-held scanner market for industrial applications. The main goals of this bar code scanner series – ergonomics and durability – have been successfully incorporated into all important features. The perfect combination of these features results in the many advantages of the PowerScan family.Operational comfort and productivity – important criteria for applications with intensive use – are guaranteed by an ergonomic grip known from the Dragon series, balanced weight and the well-known easily perceptible PowerScan indicating signals. All versions of this series have a clearly audible beeper, bright LEDs (especially for areas with high noise level) and a clearly visible targeting spot for easy bar code scans. The scanner’s robustness can endure even the toughest industrial conditions: shock-absorbing supports for all optical components and a specially designed rubber protective cover help to easily withstand falls on concrete from 2 metres height.
In addition, its data collection features offer professional performance and functionality: All established one-dimensional bar codes are recognised instantly. The high-speed M16 microprocessor-based architecture allows for smooth and fast scans, even with badly printed or damaged labels. The auto-range version of this professional industry scanner features an extended scanning range of up to 10 metres. Larger bar codes on packages or products in manufacturing, logistics or distribution centres can be scanned by the user at greater distances, which improves productivity and ergonomics significantly.
The devices of the PowerScan series are also ideal for a wide variety of IT environments. While USB, serial, and keyboard wedge are integrated into all standard versions, further interface types for special computer systems are always available on request.
