| The Honeywell 4600r is a wired hand scanner with omnidirectional 2D optics suitable for all applications in retail, but also in demanding production areas. Its CMOS optics immediately scans the barcode from any orientation, regardless if it is 1D or 2D. The patented Adaptus Imaging Technology guarantees extremely high scan performance: in addition to bar codes the camera can also capture pictures of objects and images, e.g. of identity cards or driving licences, so that the 4600r scans and logs receipts in one sweep. Versatile image processing options guarantee foolproof adaption of scanned data. You can also capture an OCR image with the imager from Honeywell. Plain text in personal identity cards is scanned immediately and electronically interpreted (e.g. as proof of age). |

| Especially developed for applications in the retail industry, the 4600r is not just a classic »bar code gun«: the optional scan stand in combination with its ability to scan independent of object orientation makes it a suitable replacement for presentation scanners, whereby the purchased good is placed closely to the scanner. Due to its light weight, a user can utilise it as a hand scanner for long periods without getting fatigued. As with all Honeywell scanners, the 4600r impresses with its excellent handling.For applications in which bar codes are to be mainly scanned using fly-by, you can optionally get the 4600r in a stable, adjustable cradle for presentation scanning (4600rp). Although the scanner is configured for a professional fixed mode and high throughput, it may also be utilised in trigger mode.
The scanner can alternatively be attached to the USB, keyboard, RS232, or IBM connection of the system. Your customer has considerable flexibility through the multi-interface of the scanner, which can simply be adjusted to the corresponding connection type. Designed as a scanner for demanding environments, the 4600r is available in an attractive white or a robust black colour. The five-year manufacturer’s guarantee impressively proves the incomparable durability of the scanner. The scanner is protected from penetrating impurities or dripping water with a certification according to the IP41 industry standard. It is the right choice for demanding bar code applications where, in addition to the normal bar codes, 2D codes or identity cards are to be scanned and high hardware durability is required. |
